Security,Zone Alarm-%26gt; Sygate Firewall , beat it, its super cool compared to any other firewall, also itssymantec and free

Avast -%26gt; AVG Free Antivirus, unlike the former this one is more powerful and detects more viruses, and updates in the background

Ad-Adware -%26gt; Yahoo Toolbar with Anti-Spyware/Adware fr IE or Firefox

Multimedia -%26gt; Nero Rules in this for sure,but the Windows XP one with Roxio isnt behind

Skype-%26gt; nice to make calls to phone nos. but pc to pc google talk has an advantage, so does rediffz VOIP in its BOL messenger
